Dedicated Lien Unit

Strategic Lien Resolution — Built Inside a Defense Firm.

Most workers' compensation defense firms treat liens as an afterthought. We don't.

A smarter model that lowers costs.

Our dedicated Lien Unit is a purpose-built team operating inside our defense practice — designed to resolve liens faster, reduce exposure, and significantly lower overall claim costs. Founder Julie Habibi pioneered a smarter way to handle lien matters without inflating attorney fees.

  • Certified Hearing & Lien Representatives handle appearances, negotiations, and resolution work
  • Direct attorney oversight ensures strategy, compliance, and risk control
  • Lower billable rates compared to attorney-only lien handling
  • Faster resolution and fewer lingering lien exposures

What our Lien Unit handles.

  • Lien review, analysis, and valuation
  • Early negotiation and global resolution strategies
  • Lien appearances at the WCAB
  • Settlement support tied to case-in-chief strategy
  • Coordination with defense counsel to eliminate last-minute settlement surprises

Outcomes for employers & carriers

  • Lower lien payouts
  • Lower legal spend
